Our camp is blessed with a high concentration of Africa’s most iconic wildlife. We are proud to be situated in an important elephant dispersal zone - our location means that our camp is at the forefront of monitoring wildlife, especially elephants, as they have contact with both conservation spaces and human settlements outside the conservancy. Our guests have a vital and hands-on involvement in the conservation outcomes of the area - your stay involves citizen science and has an actively positive outcome to the landscape as a whole.
With four of the Big Five abundant in the area, you can hop into one of our cars with your private guide and set off in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs and elephants. Other rarer species are just around the corner - wild dogs, aardwolfs, Grevy zebras and reticulated giraffes are plentiful.
As the landscape is situated at a high altitude, we have a variety of wildlife and landscapes - from snow-capped mountains to arid desert, and Kenya’s third largest cedar forest in the middle, there is bountiful and unique game to be spotted.

Fly Camping
For those with an adventitious spirit, we encourage our guests to spend a night sleeping under the stars in our fly camp. Our fly camp allows you to spend the night perched on top of a rock or in a sandy river bed - giving you the perfect location to start your safari the next morning.
A roaring fire and chef cooked meals will accompany the intimate sounds of the bush. A watchman stands guard to keep wildlife at bay and to keep guests safe at all times.
This experience is always a highlight for our guests, and we encourage you to experience it.
Game drives
The Safari Series has a fleet of custom-built Land Rovers made for the bush and for game viewing, included in the fleet are long wheelbase game viewing vehicle.
As well as having the opportunity to drive your own 4x4 on a self drive we always recommend making use of professional drivers, excellent spotters and local knowledge to help you navigate rocky roads and herds of elephant.
Early mornings and dusk are the best times to spot a leopard or surprise a lion. Our open sided, extended Land Rovers are the perfect vehicles to help you encounter our incredible wildlife.
WALKING
Join one of our guides on a safari-less-ordinary and set off on foot across the bush to learn more about the things that you might miss in a car. Groups will be on the lookout for the ‘Small Five’, which include the leopard tortoise among them and are common in the area. Our guide are also well educated in the flora of the area, including trees, flowers and which plants are used for medicinal purposes by local communities.
Makurian Cultural Centre community visit
Visiting the cultural centre on the northern border of Lolldaiga Hills is a ‘must do’ for any guest looking to understand one of Kenya’s best known tribes; the Maasai. Led by the Women’s Group, the experience introduces guests to life in a nomadic community through singing, dancing and one on one discussions.
Respectful, detailed and passionate - the time spent with the woman is remebered by many of our guests as their best day in Kenya.
CAVE VISITS
Northern Kenya has some of Kenya’s oldest rock art in it, and a visit to these ancient sites can transport you back several hundreds of years to a continent that was extremely different to the one you see today. The art gives a glimpse into the lives of the hunter-gathers that lived in the area and the traditional lives they lead - some elements are even visible in today’s nomadic communities that can be met with during your stay.
Horse Riding
Riding With The Rangers - Join the Lolldaiga mounted ranger patrol as they do vital conservation-focus work on horseback across the conservancy. The ride is around 4 hours with plenty of time to interact with the rangers and learn about their work keeping Lolldaiga's wildlife protected from poaching, snares and illegal activities. Guests will also be involved in checking fences, monitoring wildlife and spending time 'on the ground' with those on the front line of conservation. This activity includes a donation to the ranger team.
Overnight ride to our fly camp - Enjoy a real adventure on horseback as you ride across the conservancy, spending up to 8 hours in the saddle over two days. Spend the night in our fly camp, with the horses teathered on a picket line nearby, all the while relaxing next to a fire, enjoying a cold drink and delicious food, then fall asleep watching the stars above.
