Celebrating Thanksgiving: A Heartfelt Reflection on Being Thankful

While Thanksgiving is a truly American tradition, we can all appreciate the importance of feeling grateful for the good things in our lives. At The Safari Series, it only fitting to take a moment to reflect on the essence of gratitude. In a world bustling with activity, being thankful serves as a grounding force, reminding us of the beauty in simplicity and the richness found in each passing day.

The Gift of Today

Many of our guests arrive in Kenya stressed, tired and in need of a holiday. In the rush of our daily routines, it's easy to overlook the simple gift of waking up to a new day. However, in the beauty of Lolldaiga, waking up to watch the sun rise over Mt. Kenya it reminds us that every sunrise brings with it the promise of new opportunities, a chance to rewrite our stories, and the unfolding of endless possibilities.

Cherishing Connections

Kenyans are happy, warm and kind people and our staff are just waiting to welcome you to the camp. In travel, just like in life, relationships are the intricate threads that weave our stories together. We love the fact that our staff are constantly making friends with our guests and are regularly are mentioned on our TripAdvisor page as a highlight of a stay.

Lessons in Challenges

Life's journey is not always a smooth sail, and challenges are the compasses that guide us toward growth and resilience. In the face of adversity, there is an opportunity to learn, adapt, and emerge stronger. By spending time outside of your comfort zone, you can learn and understand the world around you and yourself. We always recommend our guests to do a visit to the Community Centre outside of Lolldaiga’s northern border - it’s an amazing way to understand another lifestyle and to meet people whose lives are different from your own.

Nature's Symphony

Pause for a moment and listen to the symphony of nature that surrounds us. The rustle of leaves in the wind, the rhythmic patter of raindrops, and the song of birds harmonise to create a melody that is both soothing and invigorating. Expressing gratitude for the beauty of the natural world fosters a sense of inter-connectedness and a responsibility to preserve its wonders.

As we navigate the complexities of existence, let's embrace the power of being thankful - a force that has the potential to transform our lives and the world around us. Today and every day, let gratitude be the compass that guides us toward a brighter, more enriched future.
