So when is the best time to come on safari in Kenya?

It's a question we get asked a lot, and it can be a troublesome one to answer, for many reasons. Firstly, not everyone is wanting to come on safari for the same reason...

Some people want an escape from dreary winter weather - December being our summer it's a great escape for those who hate the cold!

Some are coming to spend an entire lying on a grassy patch photographing a herd of giraffe and practising their passion of photography - June, July and August are Kenya's cooler months but after the long rains the grass is long and green and the skies make for a great backdrop.

Or some are coming for a bit of an adventure and want to climb Mount Kenya after their safari stay - well then, February and March is for you! Hot and crystal clear views mean your summit will be glorious. It's also a great time to visit the coast and stay in a beach villa post safari.

And finally, you might be looking for an epic honeymoon destination - why not consider coming in August, September or October? These are some of Lolldaiga's best times to visit, and then head by plane to the Maasai Mara for a chance to watch the epic Great Migration.

See yourself in one of these? We have an in-house travel planner who, for no extra cost to yourself, will organise the rest of your holiday for you (flights, road transfers, additional hotels, etc.).
