Creating family memories in Africa forever

Often a safari in Africa is seen as an experience that children are not welcome on - visions of this type of holiday being too expensive to waste on a child linger on. However, with The Safari Series, we could not disagree more.

Family groups and even multi-generational trips are becoming popular with our guests and we love having groups with a variety of ages. Our tents are comfortable and can be put close together for parents worried about younger children being too far away. Grandparents can enjoy spending time with their families outside of the normal home setting. Our activities are also ready for any type of guest, young or old, and we love coming up with ideas that bring these types of family groups together to enjoy each others company.

Many camps or lodges in Kenya have age limits, however not us. We love all ages of children and welcome them with open arms. Is there an age that is too young? Often 6 or 7 years old can be the perfect age to start a safari adventure - the child is old enough to understand what they are experiencing but also young enough to see the world they are experiencing for the first time with wide eyes. Our staff also love young children and our guides enjoy doing shorter walking safaris around the camp with children to learn all about bugs and beetles together.

Our camp is also a great option for those who are worried about malaria and giving their children malaria tablets, which are known to be strong medicines. Although we suggest taking the advice of your doctor back home, our camp is high enough for there to be no malaria or mosquitoes.

So there you have it! Bringing your family on a safari adventure can be a life-changing experience and something we cannot encourage more.
